Dear Shoe Fairy..

Dear Shoe Fairy,

This week, er.. this year has not been the greatest.. what do you suggest? *leans over to hear* Really? That simple, huh? Okay... If you say so.... ;)

"The Shoe Fairy says Dress Up and Go Out!"

Weeeeee! *grabs dancin' shoes!* Time to Par-Tay!

The Shoe Fairy is a wise bitch... yep. You gotta love Beverly Feldman for her snazzy shoes.. I have honestly had these in my closet for almost two years now... I know.. shame on me because it's obvious I've never worn them.. I've really only modeled them around the house. I just can't bring myself to scuff the bottom. Do you have shoes like these in your closet? I sometimes feel like I am starring in my own version of that movie 'In her Shoes' except I'm not an attorney and my sister is defintely not as quirky as Cameron Diaz. BUT... I do have shoes that sit on my shelves that are like pieces of art... I stare at them and enjoy them.. and appreciate them for what they are... Okay.. come on. We all have our addictions right? *awkward pause* Moving right along.....

To admire more of Beverly Feldman's lovely pieces of art click here. And always remember her words, "Too much is not enough!"

Annnnd for those of you who are wondering what I opt wear instead of the delish Beverly Feldman's above... Well, I just got these from Steve Madden. I was lucky enough to score these free from my favorite Madden rep.. But when I say 'free' I mean years of buying tons of shoes for our store and continuing to do so for my mom even though I don't technically work for my parents..

Cheers!

Miz Mooz Miz Meeeez Any Day

There once was a girl who was in search of a new a shoe line that would bring new joy to her customers... so she did lots of research and went to the next Vegas market and was beyond ecstatic when her research paid off! It was there she found this wonderful undiscovered line called Miz Mooz! And everyone wore cute shoes and lived happily ever after! :) Tee hee... So maybe that's a bit far.. but customers did dance in the streets in their new Miz Mooz shoes out of sheer joy!

So 95% of my story is true.. I swear on my stilettos. We first picked up the line when they were only in independent accounts. They had not yet made it into Nordstrom or onto the well known online Zappos, Amazon, or Piperlime sites. But back to dancing in the streets... These are some of my favorite boots from Miz Mooz from last season.. ahhh.. let's take a moment of silence or joyous dancing in celebration of their fabulousness! :)

Close up of the toe... I love the European toe...

Another pair of Miz Mooz pretties in my closet are these sassy red ladies..

Aren't they cute?! *twirly twirly happy dance!* They make me want to do a tap dance! :) Speaking of tap dancing.... I'm leaving you with a song today... (you can all thank my @yoganinjamama for this one over at A near life experience since she is the reason I know of this amazing band... :) *mwah!*)

Tilly and the Wall - Rainbows in the Dark..... *tap dances off!*

Alright! Alright! Alright! Alright! Really... 'Alright' Boots

Fall passed us by... and Winter is here. Winter aka Boot Season.. yep. So in celebration, and because I have tons of boots and I need to post as many of my boots as I can while its still boot season, here ya go! The 'Alright' boot in Egglplant from Nicole. I love love LOVE this boot! I love the silhouette, the color, the heel height... it's just a shoegasm waiting to be worn.

Nicole has been a leader in the shoe world for decades. You will not find them in major department stores.. no.. that is the beauty of Nicole. You will find them on the shelves of Chicago jewels like Lori's Shoes, in Tulsa, OK at J. Cole Shoes on Riverside Parkway and in Dallas, TX at Talulah Belle on Abrams by White Rock Lake.

Ladies familiar with this line know the quality and distinction they find with each pair, but their secret? They are not paying the price of a couture designer. This is why I always dance over new shoes from Nicole! I get a new pair of chic, designer shoes at a price that allows me to buy two pairs if I want.... *GIANT EYE ROLL* Annnnnnnnd of course, I ALWAYS want another pair.. I would hate to run out of shoes to blog about!

One more of my Nicole boots from this season is the 'Behave' .... yeah.. No comments from the Peanut Gallery on the name either...

But seriously, the color is great.. they are listed as 'black', but it's more of a mushroom or ash gray.. making them perfect to wear as a neutral. I have really enjoyed pairing these with my skinny leg jeans that are ripped for a casual look with a cardigan and cute hat as well as with my dress slacks and nice blouse for a more work appropriate look. Who doesn't like being able to be versatile? If you say no, I'll throw my shoes at you... Okay, maybe not, because I love them too much and your hard head might hurt them.

Enchantingly Fabulous Flats

As someone who does not typically wear flats when working, these little darlings were perfectly named as they 'Enchanted' me from the moment I first saw them. They are those whimsical flats that make me want to twirl and skip like I'm eight years old again..yes, they are that special to me.

And no.. I don't normally love bows on ANYTHING.. but I love the contrast of the teal patent and the red grosgrain ribbon. Secretly, shhh! I even love the yellow and cream stripe sock footbed! This is why the designer, Claire, is at the top of my list of the most presh ladies ever! These little touches make her designs speak to you as you enter boutiques and see them on the shelves. They are truly magical treasures!

So where were we... Oh! Yeah.. Back to the bow.. You need a close up! Yep. Here ya go... *wink*

These are great with skinny jeans or leggings any time of year. I even wear them with a particular delightfully tacky floral print skirt in the spring! But no matter what I wear them with, or what season it is, I am always 'Enchanted' by them as I always am by my beloved Poetic Licence shoes!

Naughty Nights Reminded Me of These Shoes

This past week was a special week on the road.. I don't manage to have loads of fun while on the job often just lots, but this week it was loads. BOATS OF MAJOR LOADS OF FREAKING FUN. Covered in awesomesauce. With a side of naughty.

You see, this past week, I was finally able to see Bobby Long live. And it was amazing. Yes. It. Was. Awesome.

Bobby Long.. Music lovers will love you long time.

Stubb's BBQ in Austin, TX... Close the damn door downstairs! It was cold! But I have a feeling in the summer... yeah.. you get my drift.. Right. No drift at all.

I know that Bobby is great.. I get that.. yeah yeah yeah... but seriously people *glares at @amcas and @team_sixpack* you should really take note of Marcus Foster . There is so much conviction in his voice.. you can feel every part of his soul when he sings.. It's beyond words really. And honestly, I downloaded his EP from iTunes a few months back, but did not fall in love until I heard him live this week. So if you get the chance, don't walk, RUN! You won't regret it. If you do, I'll refund your money personally..

Marcus Foster is one of those artists that grips your heart with the honesty in his words, the passion in his song, and his ability to make you lose all track of time when he plays!

This was the bar in downtown Dallas, TX where Marcus performed...

It was pretty nice inside despite being on the sketchy streets of downtown Dallas.. *shrugs* Sorry Dallas, there are just too many hobos and random people hangin' out down there for me. period. Thanks.

But.. to my shoes. Naughty shoes.. Naughty Monkey that is..

I realized while I have been posting crazy-expensive-don't-own-them-shoes I still have so many shoes that I have in my 'Shoes to Blog' Folder left to share.. so I'm trying to play catch up.. Catch up.. yeahhhhhh... pshhh. Whatever. Not. Likely. Because once I actually post what I do have photos of, then I'll have to get off my lazy arse and photo the rest of them.. not including what new shoes come into my closet between now and that moment of major accomplishment. But when I do get there.. maybe a major celebration will be in order? Yes. I think so. :)

So back to the damn shoes. Sheesh! I love these! They are denim/fabric.. You've got stripes, denim, flowers, satin.. So much goin' on! Then add in the rafia rop bottom and wrapped-heel?! Shut up in your face!

New York, I Really do Love you!

I once again packed my bags and headed out to the big city for FFANY, the New York Market. I really have no customers that go to this market except for lovely Nordstrom buyer. Oh Kevin, how I love thee.. ;) He's actually a lot of fun and I am fortunate to have such a great buyer.

As usual, we did not see much of New York City other than the wonderful walls of the Poetic Licence/ Apepazza Showroom located in the 1370 building in Midtown. I always tell myself I'm going to take more pictures when I go back, but I never do because they always feel forced. Then, of course, the moments I do feel the urge to whip out my camera it is 2 AM and I am in the middle of our walk home slightly tipsy, but aware enough that maybe it's not a good idea! So I gave up... and this is what you get.. our showroom... and the lovely best friend, Kate :)

The window seat/air unit thingy.. yeah.. the only view I really have from our showroom that is not of shoes or a wall. I try to imagine I see interesting things out of it like well, anything other than the ugly gray building across the street.

Can you imagine the SUGAR HIGH?! The pink filler is rock candy!

Kate will kill me when she finds this! HA! But maybe she'll quit lurking and FOLLOW my Blog!

I should be back in New York in February, I believe. We shall see! 2010 will start off as busy as ever with Dallas Market, then FFANY in New York and Magic in Vegas right behind it along with many other regional shows mingled amongst those. It never ends! :)

Dear Santa...Love, Shoe Closet Life

The hubs has been bothering me lately about what I want for Christmas.. and I just can't bare to tell him because I'm not quite ready to be shot down. So, in my last attempt to stay in denial and possibly get what I want without facing the redicule that will follow when I do tell him... I'm calling on the big guy. Yep. I'm calling on Santa. So Santa, it's on you fat boy. I swear I'll find you some 12 6H shoes this year if it kills me... just please deliver! Pretty please? Look I've even cleared a special spot on my shelf for them...... ;)

I NEEEEEED the Christian Louboutin 'Bianca' Red Platforms... NEED.

A closer look at my letter to Santa... just in case he misses it.... ;) *he's blind sometimes, sorry Santa!*

Ps. Santa, I may or may not have mentioned this before I'm not above sexual favors.. Just sayin'. *wink wink*
